As part of he next annual conference of our sister organization, Fiber Connect Council MENA, the FTTH Council Europe will host a dedicated 2-hour workshop focusing on sustainability in the fibre industry.
The session will cover key topics such as fibre as a green investment, examining the role of fibre optics as an environmentally responsible and forward-looking investment. It will also introduce the FTTH Eco Platform, exploring innovative solutions that prioritize energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction. Additionally, we will highlight various initiatives from our members aimed at minimizing the carbon impact of their solutions. Finally, we will discuss the ITU Green Digital Initiative, exploring its global impact and how it encourages the development of sustainable digital infrastructures.
The workshop will feature esteemed speakers, including Francesco Rotunno, Nathalie Nassar, and Oene Stallinga, each bringing valuable insights and expertise on sustainability in the fiber and digital industries.
